2017 Reaffirmation of Accreditation Visits

Lancaster Bible College will be hosting a comprehensive accreditation visit by a team of evaluators from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) April 18 to 21 to determine its compliance with the standards for accreditation. During the visit, representatives of the ABHE team will entertain comments from the public on Thursday, April 20 at 2:00 PM. Members of the public interested in making a presentation regarding the College to the team should contact the President’s Office at 717.569.7071 or at president@lbc.edu to express their desire to attend the meeting and to be informed of the specific location. Persons wishing to submit third-party comments related to the institution may send them to Director, Commission on Accreditation, 5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Suite #130, Orlando, FL, 32822. Persons interested in reviewing the standards for accreditation will find them on the ABHE website at www.abhe.org. They appear under “about accreditation.” The institution is subject to the “Comprehensive Integrated Standards for Institutional Accreditation.”

Likewise, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education team will be here for a comprehensive visit from April 23 to 26.  If any member of the public has comments or questions regarding the MSCHE documents or the institution as a whole, they can be directed to the President’s Office at 717.569.7071 or at president@lbc.edu

2017 Self-Study Documents

Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School (LBC|Capital) is accredited by both the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the Association for Biblical Higher Education’s Commission on Accreditation (ABHE-COA). The reaffirmation of our accreditation depends on a process of self-study which culminates in a site visit by an evaluation team. This self-study process allows LBC|Capital the opportunity to show our accrediting bodies that we are indeed fulfilling our mission statement, accomplishing our institutional goals, and meeting both MSCHE and ABHE-COA accreditation standards. The self-study process is also a time for LBC|Capital to identify areas in which we can excel even more as an institution as we seek to glorify God and to build His kingdom.

On this page you will find links to the final versions of our two self-study documents. Hard copies of the two documents are also available for review in the President’s Office. [Due to the propriety nature of many of the appendices and supporting documents mentioned in the chapters, all links have been deactivated on these public versions. Faculty and staff can view the chapters complete with links to appendices and supporting documents via the Institutional Effectiveness public folder.]

Comments or questions regarding these documents can be directed to effectiveness@lbc.edu or by calling 717.560.8237.
