Accreditation at LBC

LBC is accredited by both the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (ABHE-COA). The reaffirmation of our accreditation depends on a process of self-study. Both MSCHE and ABHE-COA require a decennial reaffirmation of our accreditation through a self-study process and a site visit by an evaluation team. LBC is currently on a schedule where we host a joint team visit with individuals from both assocations as members of the team.  The decennial self-study is a three-year process that results in a product, i.e. a self-study report. In addition to the decennial reaffirmation, MSCHE requires an additional year-long self-study at the five-year mid-point between visits which results in a Period Review Report.

The self-study process allows LBC the opportunity to show our accrediting bodies that we are indeed fulfilling our mission statement, accomplishing our institutional goals, and meeting both MSCHE and ABHE-COA accreditation standards. The self-study process is also a time to identify areas in which we can excel even more as an institution as we seek to glorify God and to build His kingdom.
