MSCHE Standard 13: Related Educational Activities

 

The institution’s programs or activities that are characterized by particular content, focus, location, mode of delivery, or sponsorship meet appropriate standards.

Evidences and Analysis

LBC offers the following related educational activities as defined by this standard. Evidence of compliance with this standard can be found in their individual assessment plans.

Distance or Distributed Learning – Online Education

Basic Skills – Academic Mentoring Services

Non-Credit Offerings - Biblical Enrichment Institute

Experiential Learning –Accelerated Undergraduate Degrees

Alternative Locations - Office of Strategic Initiatives

Certificate Programs - LBC offers certificate programs through the Institute of Biblical Enrichment, traditional undergraduate school, Degree Completion Program, and Graduate Programs. The expectations for each certificate program offered at LBC are articulated in the catalogs for each school or program through which the certificate is offered. The format for designing, approving, and revising all programs, including certificate programs, is outlined in the academic affairs section of the college’s policy handbook.

In the fall of 2012, LBC was approved to add an additional location and to enter into a contractual agreement with the Center for Urban and Theological Studies, now called LBC@CUTS.  LBC is also preparing to petition to add other additional locations in the near future.  All these locations will fall under the supervision of the iLEAD Center and will be overseen by the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives.
